Bicolor Flower Photo: Asian Buttercup, 'Bloomingdale Group'

What's up, buttercups? I was so busy preparing my Snowflake Nail Wraps and Walking Dead Calendar prize posts for the Jeepers It's January Giveaway Hop that I didn't have time to visit as many blogs as usual. I hope to catch up with all of you this week! Behold the beautiful bicolor buttercups I photographed at Longwood Gardens last April! Jamberry Giveaway: Snowflake Nail Wraps

EDIT: Jamberry giveaway is officially over. Congratulations to Cassandra Dyer for submitting the randomly-chosen 565th entry. Please email me back within 72 hours to claim your prize. I'm toasting to a new year of blogging by giving one lucky reader a half sheet of Champagne Frost , plus an accent nail of Gold Crisscross . Both designs are retired and thus more expensive to buy on Amazon than when they were readily available from a Jamberry consultant like mine, Janet Stoy . If you haven't ever tried Jamberry nail wraps, read my Jamberry Nail Wraps Tutorial on my friend Katie's blog. If their product sticks with you, comment on this post and fill out the Rafflecopter to enter to win before January 31, 2017. Sharing the worldwide giveaway and following my social media accounts will also earn you extra entries and glittery glee from me. I will ship anywhere, but will be super sad if the winner's country won't allow nail stickers through customs so please check ...

White Flower Photo: Tower of Jewels at Longwood Gardens

A few of these pretty potted plants resided in the Conservatory at Longwood Gardens last March, but I couldn't find a single name plate identifying it. Googling white flower images didn't grow an answer, either. But thanks to Nick from Floral Friday Fotos , I now know this beauty is an Echium simplex, also known as a Tower of Jewels. Manicure Monday: Champagne Frost Nail Art by Jamberry

Saturday was too cold to play in the first snow of 2017. Instead I applied Champagne Frost nail wraps from Seasonail while watching white magic whirl by the window! Think this Jamberry design is cool? It's retiring January 15. For those that don't buy it in time, I'll be giving half of my snowflake sheet away for the Jeepers It's January Giveaway Hop so check back January 17 to enter. Want to be a guest blogger for my Manicure Monday when I don't have new nails of my own to show off? Please fill out the form on my contact page if you're interested in a free feature. Flower Photo: Iceland Poppy, 'Champagne Bubbles'

New Year's Eve is one of the rare occasions I consume champagne. Although I enjoy it, drinking it more often just wouldn't be as special! However, I did sip champagne two days in a row last week. Friday I stopped by Oak Creek Wine & Spirits' annual New Year's Bubbly Tasting to help me decide what kind to buy to welcome 2017. Obviously none of the samples' colors were anything like this vibrant orange flower named "Champagne Bubbles." Photographing the Iceland Poppy at Longwood Gardens last spring did go right to my head, though!
