Purple Flower Photo: Coral-Pea, 'Happy Wanderer'

I look forward to wandering through more gardens in 2017! Thus I am sharing a pretty purple coral-pea vine named "Happy Wanderer" as my last Flower Friday post of 2016. I was marveled to meet the Hardenbergia violacea species from the pea family Fabaceae while exploring Longwood Gardens last spring. May the New Year greet you with grace and allow you to wander wherever you wish. Flower Photo: Anemone Mum, 'Snowfall'

Dreams of White Christmases rarely come true in Delaware. The Weather Channel is predicting sunshine with a high of 47 degrees this Sunday. Thus I am sharing snow that won't melt today - an anemone mum named "Snowfall" I photographed while visiting Longwood Gardens during the Chrysanthemum Festival last month. Have a fairy, merry Christmas! Manicure Monday: Tinsel Poinsettia by Jamberry Nails

It's the most wonderful time of the year to wear Tinsel Poinsettia nail wraps! Although I have to disagree about it also being the hap-happiest season of all - Seasonail makes every season a joy to get Jamberry nail art in the mail. Check back January 17 to see what design she'll be giving away for the Jeepers It's January Giveaway Hop. Want to be a guest blogger for my Manicure Monday when I don't have new nails of my own to show off? Please fill out the form on my contact page if you're interested in a free feature. Flower Photo: Spider Mum, 'Wind Dancer'

The wind whipped through Delaware yesterday. Even walking from the car to a store while holiday shopping was a struggle. I chose the wrong coat to wear, and the hood would not stay up. Thus my hair twisted and tangled in a tumultuous tango. It reminded me of this fascinating yellow spider mum named "Wind Dancer" I photographed while visiting Longwood Gardens during the Chrysanthemum Festival last month. Stay warm this weekend, my dears! Flower Photo: Rest In Peace Rose Bouquet

Ogre's dog swept me off my feet long before he could. Literally. Morris Johnson III (aka MoJo ) was the chillest dog. He wasn't interested in fetch or any toys, for that matter - he lived to be petted by humans. I didn't see him jump on anyone ever again after our introduction, so he must have known right away that I'd become part of his family. How MoJo made it to day 29 of a 30-day kill shelter without anyone else taking him home is beyond me. Ogre rescued him with less than 24 hours to spare and gave him 12 more wonderful years than he would have had at only 2 years old. Sadly, we had to bury him last Friday. My parents gave us a beautiful rose bouquet in sympathy. Flower Photo: Butterfly Bush in Bridgewater

Black Friday fell on my dad's birthday, thus I hopped over to his house instead of your blogs last week. But I'm back with another beautifully imperfect butterfly! This one I circled around a butterfly bush in Bridgewater, the same park I photographed a pretty pink blossom on my first trip to Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. Jamberry Giveaway: Urban Lights Nail Wraps

EDIT: Jamberry giveaway is officially over. Congratulations to Vikki Billings for submitting the randomly-chosen 391st entry. Please reply to my email within 72 hours to claim your prize. I'm not a city girl. But I do love to visit to see the sparkling sights, especially during the holidays. And since so many of you entered to win a half sheet of nail wraps during last month's stocking stuffer giveaway hop, I decided to join another to spread more shine this season. Thus I'm giving away the retired Urban Lights nail art I'm holding, plus an accent nail of the current design I'm wearing, Butterfly Fantasy . If you haven't ever tried Jamberry nail wraps, read my Jamberry Nail Wraps Tutorial on my friend Katie's blog. If their product sticks with you, comment on this post and fill out the Rafflecopter to enter to win before December 15, 2016.
