Nature Photo: Labyrinth at Edith J. Carrier Arboretum in Virginia

One of these leaves is not like the other ... Three days after chasing a Spicebush Swallowtail butterfly through Meadowlark Gardens, I met another at the Edith J. Carrier Arboretum . Flower Photo: Orange Butterfly at Meadowlark Gardens in Virginia

After ten years together, Ogre still gives me stomach butterflies sometimes. He also let me chase real butterflies during our anniversary vacation to Shenandoah Valley in Virginia last September. Despite their wily ways, I was able to capture several photos which I will be sharing this November. The first beautiful butterfly was meandering through Meadowlark Gardens, which we stopped at before we even reached our resort, thanks to a recommendation by fellow flower blogger, Denise In VA . And thanks to Vilt og vakkert for helping me identify the verbena, Purpletop vervain ( Verbena bonariensis ), that the orange butterfly is enjoying. Anyone know the type of the butterfly?
