Plant Photo: White Butterfly in Herb Garden

I was so intent on photographing this small cabbage white butterfly (which at first I thought might be a moth because of its plainly pale wings) that I forgot to look for the plaque that said what kind of plant it was enjoying in the Salisbury Zoo's Memorial Herb Garden last weekend. Does anyone know the type of tiny blossoms? Flower Photo: Black-Eyed Susan Vine Plant

I bought a Black-Eyed Susan vine plant in the spring for the first time and didn't expect it to bloom this long into summer. Last week one yellow blossom crept all the way from its trellis to the window box to bask in the morning dew with the Noa Blue Legend Calibrachoa Hybrid flowers from Garden Shack Farm . Manicure Monday: Sparkle Pink Butterfly Nail Art by Jamberry Nails

My best friend showered me in butterfly kisses! The pink butterfly nail art by Jamberry Nails, I mean. We traded half a sheet each of butterfly nail wraps to expand our collections. I shared Flutter By, the ombre accent nail I'm wearing. If not for the distance, I totally would have kissed Jamberry consultant Kiss My Tips for surprising me with May 2014's Sister Style Exclusive after hosting a giveaway for her last year. Want to be a guest blogger for my Manicure Monday when I don't have new nails of my own to show off? Please fill out the form on my contact page if you're interested in a free feature. Flower Photo: Peaceful Garden Path

I get to gaze at a gorgeous garden while taking samba belly dance classes at Milford Massage, Wellness and Yoga Center. Last night I arrived before the instructor, so I took a few flower photos. Is the pretty flower above a type of zinnia, too? The petal shape resembles the zinnias photo I shared a few weeks ago, but I'm only a beginner in identifying flowers by name. Flower Photo: Rose of Sharon Tree Blossoms

Whoever originally landscaped my yard may not have chosen well with the dune grass (we eventually tore it out because of stray cats making it their home), but the Rose of Sharon tree they picked was perfect! I haven't tired of taking photographs of its pale purple blossoms yet. Flower Photo: Red Rose for Fourth of July

Did you know that the rose is the national flower of the USA? The marigold was a popular option in the 1960s, but the US Congress officially passed an act declaring the rose to be the floral emblem of the United States of America in 1986. That's why I'm sharing a red rose photo today. The flower is from my last birthday bouquet , but this weekend calls for another celebration. Happy Independence Day!
