WW: Striped Dogfish Shark at NC Aquarium

I may live only a few miles from the Dogfish Head Brewery, but it wasn't until I traveled all the way to the North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island that I saw a real dogfish shark in person.

    We've had a few deaths from sharks off the coast here in Perth and there has been talk of shark culling. We had a huge protest at Cottesloe beach recently to try and stop this. I love your photo! Great capture.

    Great photo. My 3 year old fell into the shark tank at our aquarium last year (I wish I was kidding). I'm still traumatized.

    You stayed dry, right?

      Thank you! Unfortunately, I don't even know the species of dogfish he is ... but if it were up to me, I'd name him "Beer." ;D

    I'll have to look for these next time I visit the aquarium. They don't look much like a dog to me except that our huskie has blue eyes too.

    What a neat aquatic creature! I like sharks and learning about them. I just never want to see one up close in open waters.
