WW: Silly Squirrel on Tree Photo

Funny Squirrel Photo

"You can't be suspicious of a tree, or accuse a bird or a squirrel of subversion or challenge the ideology of a violet."
- Hal Borland

I asked this silly squirrel to slow down to pose for me, but he just mooned me on his way up a beautiful tree at Longwood Gardens!

  3. Heheehee. this tree reminds me of my spooky squirrel tree I have posted about several times. only it had lots of knot holes & is no longer leafing out, except for the vines I have growing on it.

  4. Typical dumb squirrel maneuver. I've been asking the ones in our attic to pay rent and get the same response. It's time for the eviction notice.

  7. Very cool tree! Nothing suspicious there, except that squirrels and jaybirds have a well known rivalry over nuts and acorns, where dealings in subversiveness would come as no surprise :)

  25. Squirrels on trees are scaring me lately!!! I have these squirrels that climb up my mulberry tree which is really tall. Then they suddenly jump out!!! Such adventure seekers?!

  26. Cheeky little squirrel, huh? On a different note, I saw my first black squirrel last year. I didn't know there were black colored squirrels, but the town 2 over from us is crawling with them!

Giveaway: Clear Quartz Dagger Earrings by WireQueen

EDIT: Giveaway is officially over! Congratulations to the randomly chosen 108th commenter, Andalene! Accessorize an outfit and rejuvenate your spirit at the same time! Michelle of WireQueen is bequeathing a beautiful pair of clear quartz earrings to one of my readers. The design is named "Midwife Healer" in honor of the midwife that delivered her second daughter. The four sided dagger beads are different lengths and embraced by sterling silver wrap with surgical steel earwires. She has already cleared the crystals, but if you ever need to recharge or remove unwanted energy, simply place in a window that is beaming with sunlight. Michelle believes that the Creator gave to all things a purpose, including gemstones. She covers as little of the "face" of the stone as possible, but still secures it safely in its setting. She has customers who are still wearing creations that are over 10 years old! She's been selling jewelry offline for years, but only recently began...

Jewelry Giveaway: Braided Bracelet by Rica Jewels

EDIT: Giveaway is officially over. Congratulations to Eugenie Wu for submitting the randomly-chosen 799th entry. Rica Jewels will email you within 24 hours with instructions on how to claim your prize. The winds of March are making me wonder why I haven't learned to properly braid my hair yet. Not only would my tresses get less tangled, but there are so many pretty patterns available online now. The only braid style I ever mastered was how to make friendship bracelets back in the 1980s. Daniela of Rica Jewels offers a much more intricate braided bracelet called the Kusma Bracelet. The mixed metal bracelet is made with silver, bronze and copper. The beautiful bracelet is 7" long and 0.4" width and can be bent gently on the edges to better fit the winner's wrist. Yes, you read that right. Daniela's giving the above bracelet away to one of my readers! Rica Jewels has several marvelous metal and beaded bracelets for sale. Daniela received a bachelor’s degree in ...
