Mermaid Blog Hop and Comment Spree

EDIT: The Summer 2012 Mermaid Blog Hop Linky may be closed, but don't let that stop you from blogging about mermaids and sharing it by commenting on this post. Or you can swim over to my current blog hop.

The blogging world can always use more magic. For my seasonal hop this summer, I challenge my fellow bloggers to dive into the shimmering sea and emerge with a mermaid tale. You can paint, craft or bake new creations to share, or feature your favorite mermaid-inspired items by other artists. It is entirely up to you how you wish to celebrate the fantasy theme; just have fun splashing around!

Makeup Giveaway: All Natural Mineral Cosmetics by Madison Street Beauty

EDIT: Giveaway is officially closed. Congratulations to Rita Szlovencsák for submitting the randomly chosen 57th entry. Perhaps it's the hot weather and the drought in Delaware, but I have been daydreaming about being a mermaid. That's why I gleamed to discover the Etsy Blog's Mermaid Makeup Tutorial when looking through the list of articles where my new giveaway sponsor's products have shimmered. Madison Street Beauty has dozens of magnificent eye shadow colors that could enhance the sexy siren in any creature. One lucky winner will even get to choose five full size eye shadows, as well as a foundation, a setting powder and a blush or bronzer sample for free. Amethyst, an opaque vegan eyeshadow of medium purple, would be my first pick, fins down. Look at those sparkles! If choosing only five colors is too difficult, why not try some natural samples first? The owners, Bridget and Rhys, are currently celebrating their one year Etsyversary and offering an astonish...
