weird.... what is that from??
ReplyDeleteDecay is an important part of nature.
ReplyDeleteMr. This and That - it's a diseased hydrangea leaf that reminded me of zombie decay, so I had to photograph it. The Walking Dead season premiere is this Sunday so my brains are a bit biased. 0.o
ReplyDeleteWay cool shot and I love the quote.
ReplyDeleteHave a terrific WW. :)
Everything is more interesting and fascinating up close through a lens! Great shot!
ReplyDeleteInteresting idea - I wonder what zombie leaves eat?
ReplyDeleteGrowth & decay.... all part of the eternal cycle. Have a very natural WW!
ReplyDeleteLove your decaying leaf. I can spend hours looking at things like that; I thought I was the only one! Valerie
ReplyDeleteYou do have an eye for the unique. I would probably have seen the leaf and plucked it off of my plant and thrown it into the yard waste bin, never thinking to photograph it.
ReplyDeleteVery cool shot.
ReplyDeleteThat looked creepy! It looks like a diseased leaf attacked by fungus. Did you capture this from jungle or near to locality?
ReplyDeleteVery cool macro.
ReplyDeleteFrom spring time growth to autumn's decay and winter's death, the wheel will turn again and resurrection will come with the return of the sun in spring. I will comfort myself with this knowledge when the snow is flying outside my window this winter. ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat photo and quote!
Cool shot!

Thanks for hosting each week ~ Great macro shot ~ Carol (Share the Creative Journey)
ReplyDeleteGreat Shot! Love the perspective!
ReplyDeleteEveryone - thank you for all the compliments!
ReplyDeleteAsteropeBC - Good question. Since plants don't have brains, perhaps they eat each others' chloroplasts instead.
Ben Dunn - the leaf is part of a diseased bush, right outside my day job in Delaware. Its leaves are covered with dark purple spots.
Serena - your quote is lovely, too!
Thanks for the link up! Great idea!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot! I have this weird obsession with decaying leaves, lichens, and mushrooms, lol. So I'm totally feeling this picture.
ReplyDeleteLinked up with you! Thanks! :)

Thanks for posting this! Wordless Wednesday seems like a fun endeavor.
ReplyDeleteOh no, what ate them?! Dirty old garden pests!
ReplyDeleteOur leaves are not even green enough to eat over here... we need more rain!!
ReplyDeleteVery cool zombie leaf!
ReplyDeleteThat is interesting. Not at all what I expected for zombie but totally qualifies. I love Zombie everything.
ReplyDeleteI know I am a little strange, but I sorta see the face of a frog in the leaf -- the 2 eyes and the big mouth opening -- sort of like kermit ;). Love the picture!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the view you captured, and the very true quote to go with it.
