Wordless Wednesday: Love That Chicken From Popeyes

Popeyes Chicken in Oviedo, Florida
A cold caught me yesterday and has me staggering around like a zombie. Thus, today's post is a flashback photograph that I took of the Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen fast food restaurant drive-thru in Oviedo, Florida last September. He may look statuesque, but that is a real chicken! Anyone want to make me some chicken noodle soup? *wink*

  6. OMG, I live in Oviedo! Those chickens have been there FOREVER! They are like our tourist attraction, ha ha ha! That junction is the original "downtown" Oviedo; it probably still is, officially. We're the celery capital of the world, too, if you can believe it. And we're smack dab in the middle of Central Florida, the lightning capital of the world. Yep, mighty find town is O-VE-DOUGH.

I bet there's an historical article somewhere about those chickens, in the Oviedo town hall records or something -- we're not big enough to have our own newspaper yet, although we were named the fastest growing "city" in Central Florida for like the past 15 years (ever since I moved here), but that's mostly subdivisions in what used to be "dem swamps"! And which is why I pay for flood insurance. They say I'm not in the 100-year flood zone, but do I believe the surveyors or the good 'ole boys who tell me they used to air boat right over where my house now stands? Uh huh.

Giveaway: Clear Quartz Dagger Earrings by WireQueen

EDIT: Giveaway is officially over! Congratulations to the randomly chosen 108th commenter, Andalene! Accessorize an outfit and rejuvenate your spirit at the same time! Michelle of WireQueen is bequeathing a beautiful pair of clear quartz earrings to one of my readers. The design is named "Midwife Healer" in honor of the midwife that delivered her second daughter. The four sided dagger beads are different lengths and embraced by sterling silver wrap with surgical steel earwires. She has already cleared the crystals, but if you ever need to recharge or remove unwanted energy, simply place in a window that is beaming with sunlight. Michelle believes that the Creator gave to all things a purpose, including gemstones. She covers as little of the "face" of the stone as possible, but still secures it safely in its setting. She has customers who are still wearing creations that are over 10 years old! She's been selling jewelry offline for years, but only recently began...
