How To Train Your Dragon Treasury

I've yet to see the movie How to Train Your Dragon (Kick-Ass grabbed this month's spot for money gleefully splurged in an overpriced theater), but this magnificent treasury by fellow Fantasy Artist of Etsy , Beth of Archeress Arts has rekindled the original flame felt while sitting riveted through its preview before Alice. Beth's collection houses my Peridot pinback bitton, as well as several dragon items even new to my eyes, including those insanely adorable baby slippers! Be quick to crane your neck for a closer look - these fiery beasts will take flight on Wednesday, April 28th at 11:27pm. PS: If the treasury expires before you're able to view it and you want to see a featured item, add ".etsy.com" after the username (they're on the second line under the picture, left of the price - and if they're hard to read, right click on the image so you can view it full size) and you'll be magically whisked away to their shop. For example, you'd type ...

Around Fantasy Time Treasury

The Fantasy Artists of Etsy team's terrific twitter leaderess, Lady Steel of 88Links , has featured my Peridot dragon pinback button amongst a myriad of green and glorious springtime fantasy works.

Athena's Armoury 3-Day for the Cure Raffle

Janine of Athena's Armoury , a dear and talented fellow Fantasy Artist of Etsy, has embarked on quite a noble journey - she'll be walking 60 miles in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure event to fight breast cancer. In addition to training to achieve such a feat, she must fundraise $2,300 for the cause. Janine has invoked her inner warrior and is already 67% of the way to that goal! She's designing a Pink Warrior Chain Maille Collection using pink anodized aluminum jump rings donated from Blue Buddha Boutique . She's also organized a handmade raffle , of which I am proud to be a part of. I donated a 4x5" print, double matted to 5x7", of my breast cancer awareness fairy, Aware . For those not familiar with this piece, it's inspired by my mom, a survivor of more than 10 years. The lump was discovered in her breast back in 1994, but was misdiagnosed as benign until six months later. I was in 7th grade at the time, and have never been more scared in my life...

Creatures! Treasury

I've been featured in my first ever Treasury East Beta , the testing ground for the future of Etsy Treasuries. No more watching the clock and waiting for a spot to open on this version - the lists have no limit, and they never expire. There's already 173 pages of them. I haven't had a chance to explore too many of them, but I had a marvelous time scampering around with the animals found in fellow Fantasy Artists of Etsy team member Anika's collection.

April Showers Bring FAE Flowers Exhibition

March was a rather angry lion the entire month, so I welcomed April skies with open wings. Grass is green, flowers are blooming, and I can finally wear sandals again, hurray! I've never been much of a gardener, but the new Fantasy Artists of Etsy exhibition I planted has blossomed beautifully. I will be pruning sold items and growing new works throughout May, so visit this magical terrace often! EDIT:April Showers Bring FAE Flowers has been replaced by another exhibition, but click on the screenshot below to view all the FAE items currently for sale that are tagged with the word "flowers."

FAEteam Art Treasury

My breast cancer awareness fairy magnet is featured in another magnificent Fantasy Artists of Etsy team treasury, this time chosen by photographer and artist Elaine J Hillson . *flutters* This diverse group of her favorites will disperse on Saturday, April 10th at 1:52am. PS: If the treasury expires before you're able to view it and you want to see a featured item, add ".etsy.com" after the username (they're on the second line under the picture, left of the price - and if they're hard to read, right click on the image so you can view it full size) and you'll be magically whisked away to their shop. For example, you'd type my username, "aquariann," then ".etsy.com" and abra ca dabra: aquariann.etsy.com
